Cemu vs yuzu botw.
Still playing though BotW in Cemu, so wanted to get an idea of what kind of performance one can expect with TotK in Yuzu. I can currently play BotW at 4k60fps with no AA, medium to high settings. Specs are Ryzen 3600x w/16gb and RX 5700xt. I think it runs better than cemu. cemu had to have a lot of mods and updates to run decently.
Take BotW as an example, on Yuzu I play at 4K and get stable framerate all day long. On Ryujinx be it at native or 4K, I get constant stuttering to the point is unplayable. Another more recent example was AI SONMIUM in which Ryujinx has long freezes during transitions, while Yuzu runs smoothly.YUZU Zelda BOTW . Cemu is far ahead, and will likely be so for several years. On Cemu you can run BoTW @ 4K60-ish with an RTX 2070 / RX 5700 XT, or 1440p60 with something like a 1660 Ti. You're able toggle lots of different mods and cheats, which isn't possible with yuzu right now. You can increase quality of distant textures by using negative lod bias in NVidia inspector, set it to something like -1.0000 don't use lower values like -2 or -3 because they make everything look glossy. I cannot recommend this. For reference, I'm on a much older i7-6800k + RTX 2080 + 32GB DDR4 and sit at the 30 fps cap in BotW Yuzu. (no idea how many frames I'm geting over 30) BotW Yuzu just doesn't run great when compared to Cemu. If Tears runs anywhere near 30 fps by the end of 2023, I'll be happy.
BotW at 60fps 1080p (my TV) I7 9th gen and 2060 gpu… also tried odyssey, amazing, super smash bros is the one still having some drops. But, feels ready to try TotK Reply
Hello, I just dumped my nsw BOTW and was running it on Yuzu, i'm actually surprised by the results. I always heard than BOTW is running way better on Cemu than on Yuzu, but i'm having differents results. On CEMU 720p : 25/30 fps with slowdowns at 20+/-. On Yuzu : 30fps (locked), without any slowdowns. Do someone has the same results ? But last time i checked (was not really playing that game) alot yuzu updates done. I had a fps of 5 😅 I like the deck as a emulator. But i do not like constant tweaking. So at the moment i’m just playing some games from steam itself 😉 EDIT: if you mean a real lock, there is a keybind (cant remember) where you unlock yuzu fps.
Yuzu only achieves 25-30 spiking in BotW in steam deck from what I've seen. The community, and developers also haven't focused on BotW because Cemu is basically made around BotWs existence.
